Below are some links to other interesting sites to do with Wirksworth & the surrounding area. Some are for general reading and some will give you ideas of things to do in the area.

The most important one to consider looking at, is the Wirksworth Festival website. The Wirksworth Festival is the biggest event in the year for Wirksworth. 1000's of visitors flock to Wirksworth to view art, sculpture, photography and many of the other arts. The pinnacle event for us being "The Gig on the Roof" which is held outside the pub. Live local bands play until 9pm and then until midnight inside the pub. Loads of music, comedy and plays are also on during the week too. Have a look at the website for full details.

This year the festival starts on Friday 5th September and "The Gig on the Roof" is on Sunday 7th September.
